Established in 1988, Rajasthan State Centre of National Informatics Centre(NIC) has been instrumental in creating innovative ICT solutions for the state, which have not only eased the life of common citizen but have also improved efficiency within the government. In addition to core infrastructure for networks, VC and Cloud, NIC Rajasthan has also established comprehensive solutions for Finance, Medical and Health, Education, Planning and Statistics, Elections, Revenue, Social Welfare, Food & Civil Supplies, Rural Development & Courts etc. NIC has its offices in State Secretariat and in every District Collectorates. NIC has also established its project offices in concerned departments at Jaipur. All district Collectorates have been connected with high speed network. Many institutions have also been extended network connectivity from NIC. A Regional Centre of excellence for Application Security (RCOEAS) is established at Jaipur, which is catering to ensure application security for applications developed by NIC for various states. The efforts of NIC Rajasthan have been acknowledged at various levels and the state centre has bagged many awards including national e-governance awards.
