Strengthening India-France cooperation in the digital domain! The French delegation, comprising Mr. François-Xavier Masson, French Police Attaché, and Ms. Christel Fontaine, Deputy French Police Attaché, visited NIC Hqrs., New Delhi. The delegates had a productive interaction with Shri Priyank Bharti, IAS, Director General, NIC, along with Dr. Rajesh Kumar Pathak, DDG and Shri Shashi Kant Sharma, DDG, focusing on collaboration in Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) for shared growth.
During the visit, Shri Shashi Kant Sharma, Deputy Director General (DDG), NIC, delivered a detailed presentation on the Interoperable Criminal Justice System (ICJS), highlighting its architecture, key functionalities, inter-agency integration, and its role in strengthening India’s digital criminal justice ecosystem. The interaction provided an opportunity to exchange insights on digital governance, public service delivery, and technology-driven innovation, further strengthening India-France cooperation in the digital domain.

Workshop on Building Citizen-Centric AI and IoT Solutions.
NIC Assam State Centre organized a one-day workshop on ‘Building Citizen-Centric AI and IoT Solutions’ to enhance awareness and build the capacity of NIC officers on emerging technologies and their applications in e-Governance. The workshop featured a series of insightful sessions, including – Uncovering Underlying Themes in Citizen Data through AI, AI in Cybersecurity, Solving Real-Time Problems through IoT, and Application of Agentic AI in Software Development.The sessions provided participants with insights into the potential of Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things in addressing real-world challenges and developing innovative, responsive, and citizen-centric e-Governance solutions.

Building Digital Skills for a More Productive Workplace! NIC Training Unit, LBSNAA, Mussoorie, conducted a Capacity Building Programme on ICT Skills for LBSNAA staff and officials on 5, 6, 7 & 13 August 2026.The hands-on programme strengthened digital competencies, ICT skills and workplace productivity, with participants gaining practical exposure to leveraging collaborative and AI tools for greater efficiency in their functional roles.

Training on Immigration Control System, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. NIC-IVFRT Kerala conducted a series of training sessions on the Immigration Control System (ICS) for Immigration Counter Officers at the International Airport, Thiruvananthapuram. The training covered Immigration, Visa, Foreigners Registration & Tracking (IVFRT), Unique Case File (UCF), Passenger Risk Management (PRM), Look Out Circular (LOC), eGates, Fast Track Immigration – Trusted Traveller Programme (FTI-TTP) and various modules of the Immigration Control System. A key focus was on the newly introduced Immigration Control System 2.0 (ICS 2.0), to be implemented at the Immigration Check Post, Thiruvananthapuram from 1 September 2026.The programme equipped officers with the necessary knowledge and practical skills for a smooth transition to ICS 2.0.
NIC conducted a three-day hands-on training on eBhavishya Pension.
NIC conducted a three-day hands-on training on the eBhavishya Pension Sanction and Tracking System at Civil Secretariat, Itanagar. Officials from 25 pilot Departments were trained on employee onboarding, pension form submission, document upload, scrutiny & application tracking.
Training on e-Office, SPARROW and e-HRMS was organised in Korba district of Chhattisgarh.
In Korba district of Chhattisgarh, with the aim of digitizing government work and increasing efficiency, training on e-Office, SPARROW and e-HRMS was organized for officers and employees in the presence of District Collector Mr. Kunal Dudawat. In the training, the District Informatics Officer (DIO) gave a practical demonstration of profile update in e-HRMS, online leave application and use of digital systems. Along with this, emphasis was laid on promoting transparent, quick and paperless working system through e-Office and SPARROW.
NIC Jammu & Kashmir and Leh-Ladakh was inspected by the Second Sub-Committee of the Parliamentary Official Language Committee.
The second sub-committee of the Parliamentary Official Language Committee inspected NIC Jammu-Kashmir and Leh-Ladakh on 24 August 2026. During the inspection, the use and implementation of the official language Hindi in official work was found satisfactory and inspection certificates were awarded to both the centres.
DDG and SIO, NIC Kerala, Shri Santhosh V. T., called on the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Kerala.
Deputy Director General and State Informatics Officer, NIC Kerala, Shri Santhosh V. T., called on the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Kerala, Shri V. D. Satheesan, on 06th August 2026, along with the Senior Officers of NIC Kerala. The SIO briefed the Hon’ble Chief Minister on key NIC initiatives and ICT support to Kerala Government departments, with discussions on leveraging emerging technologies to strengthen governance and citizen-centric service delivery.

NIC Manipur State Centre and the Prisons & Correctional Department, Manipur jointly conducted a One-Day Workshop-cum-Hands-on Training on e-Prisons Application at Civil Secretariat, Manipur. The training equipped prison officials and technical personnel with hands-on skills in Prison Management System, ICJS/CIS, Visitor Management, Aadhaar verification, BNSS Services, NyayShruti and Photo Tracking, strengthening technology-driven prison Administration.
29th Indian National Exhibition in Kolkata.
NIC showcased its National & State-level e-Gov solutions and citizen-centric services at the 29th Indian National Exhibition in Kolkata. Visitors gained hands-on experience with NIC’s digital initiatives, highlighting its continued efforts towards strengthening Digital India.
Division-level training programme on PM RAHAT and the eDAR.
A division-level training programme on PM RAHAT and the eDAR (Electronic Detailed Accident Report) System was held in Jagdalpur, Bastar, Chhattisgarh, with the aim of strengthening road accident response and digital case management. The programme brought together officials from Police, Transport, Health, and NIC. Technical sessions focused on eDAR operations, inter-departmental coordination, timely data entry, and efficient case processing.
