- Hon’ble Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Shri Hemant Soren was presented with the NIC Jharkhand Coffee Table Book by Shri Abhishek Singh Additional Secretary, MeitY & Director General, NIC, in the presence of Shri Avinash Kumar, Chief Secretary, Jharkhand, and SIO & ASIO, NIC Jharkhand. Hon’ble CM lauded the significant role of NIC Jharkhand in driving Digital Transformation and strengthening citizen-centric digital services across the State.
- Speaking on the key deliverables of the India AI Impact Summit 2026, Shri Abhishek Singh, Addl. Secretary, MeitY & DG, NIC, said “Beyond foundation models, GPUs, and datasets, we need to build real-life use cases in key sectors like agriculture, education, and healthcare, and ensure they are deployed at a population scale”. He also added that a common Compute Infrastructure is being developed that can be used by all institutions and Government Departments. At a panel discussion organised by ET Government in New Delhi.
- Shri Abhishek Singh, Additional Secretary, MeitY, DG, NIC & CEO, India AI Mission, delivered the valedictory address at the 5-day (16-20 Mar’2026) Training Course “AI Champion Programme for Digital Transformation” at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration. Addressing 60+ officers from across India (batches 1992–2024), he emphasized how AI can transform governance by tackling key challenges, unlocking opportunities, and enabling scalable deployment.
- छत्तीसगढ़ में सड़क सुरक्षा एवं डिजिटल नवाचार को सशक्त बनाने हेतु जिला रोलआउट मैनेजर (DRMs) मीटिंग राज्य सूचना विज्ञान अधिकारी एवं उप महानिदेशक, एनआईसी श्री टी. एन. सिंह, की अध्यक्षता में आयोजित की गई। बैठक में सड़क परिवहन और राजमार्ग मंत्रालय (MoRTH) की AI सशक्त पहलों — एकीकृत सड़क दुर्घटना डेटाबेस (iRAD), eDAR, पीएम राहत और राहवीर योजना के प्रभाव पर चर्चा की गई, जो दुर्घटना विश्लेषण, त्वरित सहायता और पारदर्शिता को सुदृढ़ कर रही हैं।
- Meghalaya State Judicial Academy & NIC jointly organised a Training Programme on Digital Integration in the Criminal Justice System in Shillong. NIC officials presented ICJS, MedLEaPR, e-Sakshya, e-Prison, e-Summons & CIS, strengthening the implementation of New Criminal Laws. The programme brought together Judicial Officers, Police, Forensic Experts, Prosecution and Prisons officials, and Court Staff to strengthen the State’s criminal justice system.
- The cruise vessel MV Crystal Symphony, arriving from Sri Lanka, docked successfully at Sri Vijaya Puram, Andaman & Nicobar. The NIC IVFRT Team at Sri Vijaya Puram ensured seamless immigration operations by setting up counters well in advance for smooth passenger and crew clearance. All arrival and departure formalities were efficiently carried out through the ICS application, reflecting our commitment to digital excellence and operational efficiency.

- This International Women’s Day, NIC celebrates the inspiring women powering technology and digital governance. Their innovation and dedication are shaping the future of public service and driving digital transformation across the nation.
- Representatives from NEC, Japan, visited NIC to understand the public grievance portals used by the Government of India. NIC officials gave a detailed presentation on the CPGRAMS portal, developed for DARPG, highlighting both its governance framework & technological architecture.
- Strengthening Legal Compliance: State-Level Workshop in Patna, Bihar. A one-day State-Level Workshop on Compliance with Legal Process and Court Case Monitoring System (CCMS) was organized by the Police Department, Government of Bihar, at Sardar Patel Bhawan, Patna. The workshop was graced by Shri Arvind Kumar Chaudhary, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department, Bihar, in the presence of Shri Pranav Kumar, IAS, Secretary, Home Department, and Shri Sunil Kumar, IPS, ADGP, Bihar. Dr. Shailesh Kumar Shrivastava, DDG & SIO, Bihar, briefed participants on the key features of CCMS and its role in strengthening compliance with legal processes and improving monitoring of court-related cases within the police department.
- A two-day workshop on Government eProcurement System of NIC (GePNIC), was jointly organized by the National Informatics Centre (NIC) and Chhattisgarh InfoTech Promotion Society (CHiPS), in Chhattisgarh to sensitize the State Govt officials with GePNIC policies, processes, and technical features for transparent, secure, and efficient tendering. In the presence of Shri Prabhat Malik, IAS, CEO, CHiPS, and Shri T.N. Singh, SIO & DDG, NIC Chhattisgarh, Ms. Usha Saxena, DDG & HoD (e-Procurement), NIC, highlighted the national significance of GePNIC and its effective implementation.
- NIC Manipur, in collaboration with NeGD, organised two Awareness & Sensitisation Workshops on “User Experience (UX) and Design Systems” at the State Academy of Training, Takyelpat, Imphal. Conducted under the UX4G initiative of Digital India, the sessions covered UI/UX fundamentals, design principles, UX audits, adoption strategies, and the UX4G Design System, along with a case study on the e-Gras Manipur portal.
- A workshop on Awareness on POSH Act and POCSO Act, 2012 was successfully held at NIC Hqrs., with the objective of sensitizing officials and staff about legal provisions, preventive measures, and institutional responsibilities in ensuring a safe and respectful environment. In the engaging session delivered by Ms. Mala Thapar, Advocate and Associate at BTVT Women & Child Development Foundation, real-life case studies and interactive discussions helped participants better understand the practical implications of the law.
