Shri Jitin Prasada, Hon’ble Minister of State for Commerce & Industry and Electronics & Information Technology, visited Mumbai and reviewed key digital initiatives driving Governance in Maharashtra. SIO, NIC Maharashtra, briefed on projects such as e-Office, e-Cabinet, e-Hospital, and the Public Distribution System (PDS), highlighting the State’s digital transformation.
He also inspected the e-Gates at the T2 International Terminal of Mumbai, where he was presented with passenger movement statistics and city’s milestone of achieving the highest number of international clearances through e-Gates.

The 28th National Conference on eGovernance (NCeG) themed “Viksit Bharat – Civil Service & Digital Transformation”, commenced in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
In the august presence of the Hon’ble CM of Andhra Pradesh, Secretary, DARPG, and other dignitaries, Shri Abhishek Singh, IAS, Additional Secretary, MeitY and Director General, NIC, addressed the conference.

- Directorate of Economics & Statistics, Rajasthan, in collaboration with UNICEF, organised a Conference on Civil Registrations and Vital Statistics (CRVS) at Jaipur.
The conference highlighted innovations and IT-enabled solutions driving CRVS in the state. The Pehchan Portal, developed by NIC, received special appreciation from dignitaries for transforming civil registrations in Rajasthan through digital enablement. With NIC’s technological support, the state has achieved significant progress in ensuring efficient, transparent, and accessible CRVS services for citizens.

A 5-day workshop on “Development of Software-Based Tools for Sign Interpretation to Enhance Communication in Classrooms” was recently organised by North East Regional Institute of Education (NERIE), Shillong, in collaboration with NIC Meghalaya.
- A three-day NIC Master Trainers Rashtriya Karmayogi Training Program, under the Rashtriya Karmayogi Jan Seva Initiative for Government personnel, was successfully conducted at NIC Headquarters from September 1-3, 2025, to foster a spirit of service (SevaBhaav) and citizen-centric governance among Central Government Employees.
- NIC, Uttar Pradesh in Collaboration with NICSI organised a one day workshop on “Driving Governance with Digital Tools & Technologies” at Lucknow. Shri Anil Kumar, IAS, Chairman Board of Revenue, GoUP, Shri Alok Kumar IAS, Principal Secretary, Planning, GoUP and Shri IPS Sethi, DDG, NIC graced the occasion.
Shri IPS Sethi, DDG NIC delivered the Keynote address; speakers from NIC, Delhi & NIC Telangana gave detailed presentations on GovIn Secure Intranet, eTaal, GovDrive and Collabfiles. 100+ participants from NIC and various State Government Departments participated in the workshop.
- The Integrated Road Accident Database (iRAD) Project aims to promote evidence-based policymaking and enable preventive measures for road safety. With this focus, a training program was conducted for the Police Department of Changlang District, Arunachal Pradesh.
The program aimed at strengthening the capacity of police officials through effective use the iRAD application for systematic data collection, analysis, and reporting of road accidents.
- Streamlining Online Counselling for Universities in Chhattisgarh!
NIC successfully facilitated an Online Admission Counseling for UG & PG students across multiple universities in the State, processing 27,432 records and finalizing 3,239 admissions.
NIC’s e-Counselling & Admission Services bring complete automation to the process — from registration to seat allotment — with a well-defined, transparent workflow that minimizes manual intervention and errors.
- NIC Telangana successfully organized the DIO/DIA’s Meet – 2025 in Hyderabad, creating a dynamic platform for district officers and associates to connect, collaborate and innovate.
The meet featured interactive sessions and knowledge exchanges focused on infrastructure, informatics and digital service delivery, underscoring NIC’s role in building stronger district centres and shaping a robust digital governance framework for Telangana.
- A Two-Day National Workshop on IT Solutions was conducted for the AYUSH Sector at Kottayam, Kerala. During the workshop, Team NIC and Directorate of Indian Systems of Medicine (DISM) jointly delivered a detailed presentation along with a live demonstration of the #NextGen #eHospital system.
The session highlighted key features such as Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) registration and the Scan & Share facility, showcasing their effective implementation across AYUSH institutions in Kerala.

At National Conference on eGovernance, in Visakhapatnam, the Plenary Session ‘Cyber Security in e-Governance: Safeguarding Trust, Infrastructure, and Digital Sovereignty’ was chaired by Shri IPS Sethi, DDG, NIC.
The session focused on strategies to secure digital platforms, safeguard critical infrastructure, and ensure data & digital sovereignty. Shri Sethi shared valuable insights on building open, secure, scalable, and interoperable DPIs to strengthen trust in governance.

At the Two-Day National Conference on e-Governance (NCeG2025) in Visakhapatnam, Ms. Alka Misra, DDG, NIC Delhi, delivered a keynote on “Aaklaan – Benchmarking & Advancement of Service Delivery”. She highlighted the role of Aaklaan in assessing, benchmarking, and enhancing the quality of public service delivery across government departments.
She also encouraged the sharing of best practices across states to promote excellence in governance. Her keynote reinforced that benchmarking of applications helps in self-assessment and leads to the improvement of service delivery.
- NIC, in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA), hosted a special discussion session on “Data Governance through Analytics” and “Open Data for Governance” at NIC HQ, for the participants of the Advanced Professional Programme in Public Administration, comprising senior officers from various Ministries and the Armed Forces.(1/5)

A workshop on Web Accessibility was organized at NIC Hqrs to enhance understanding of why accessibility matters and how to make websites accessibility-compliant.
NIC officials from across States and UTs participated via Video Conferencing and actively engaged in the knowledge sessions. Participants gained insights on best practices, tools, and techniques, and learnt how to ensure digital platforms are inclusive and accessible for everyone.

While chairing the #WebAccessibility workshop, at NIC Hqrs., DDG & HOG, NIC Media highlighted the rights of #Divyangjans in today’s digital world and emphasized the importance of accessibility along with the role of digital solutions in fostering an accessible online environment.
Industry experts delivered an in-depth session on WCAG principles, various types of accessibility challenges faced by Divyangjans, their solutions and the best practices for device compatibility to ensure a truly inclusive digital experience.

The third Regional Workshop on the NGO #DARPANPortal was held in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, to sensitize State authorities and offer hands-on training on using the Portal’s Data Analytics Dashboard for releasing grants to NGOs.
The workshop was attended by senior officers from the Government of Uttarakhand, NITI Aayog, PFMS, Nodal Officers, and State Informatics Officers (SIOs) of respective States. The initiative aims to strengthen transparency, efficiency, and accountability in the governance process.

- NGO DARPANPortal of NITI Aayog issues a unique Darpan ID to NGOs/NPOs working in non-profit sector. Darpan ID is now mandatory under PMLA (Amended Rule 2023) for opening & operating bank accounts/ financial institutions by NGOs,including Societies, Trusts & Section-8 Companies.

A training program on the electronic Detailed Accident Report (eDAR) was conducted in Aizawl for Aizawl & Saitual Traffic Police.
The session focused on effective use of the eDAR module under the iRAD/eDAR platform, strengthening the capacity of the traffic police personnel in accurate data entry & accident data management.

A one-day training program on the Examination Processing and Management System (EPMS) was conducted by NIC Manipur for the Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM). The training aimed to familiarize COHSEM officials with the features and operation of EPMS.
EPMS is a newly designed web-based application developed by NIC Manipur to streamline examination processes and improve management efficiency. Built on microservices architecture using open-source technologies, it provides flexible & seamless management of examination activities.
