- Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026 arrives in a new avatar. For the first time, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi connects with students across multiple locations, turning exam conversations into a nationwide moment of confidence, clarity, and connection.
- National Informatics Centre (NIC) was honored for “Best Participation” at the Mega Exhibition – Radiant Jharkhand, held from 29–31 January 2026 in Jamshedpur. A proud moment showcasing innovation, digital governance, and impactful public service.
- Demonstration of the Meghalaya Employee Information System (MeghEIS) was conducted for officials of Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) at Tura, Meghalaya, showcasing a secure, centralized digital platform for effective employee data management. MeghEIS is an integrated personnel information system that seamlessly manages basic employee details, leave records, salary, loans, HR/Service Book, payroll, and related services—driving accuracy, efficiency, and streamlined HR administration across departments.
- Strengthening Road Safety in Rajasthan. A Capacity Building Workshop on Road Safety was held at Rajasthan Police Academy by the State Traffic Police, in collaboration with NIC. Inaugurated by the DGP (Traffic) Shri Anil Paliwal, this interactive workshop was attended by senior police officials from all Districts of Rajasthan, along with iRAD District Roll-out Managers.
- The e-Gazette application, developed by NIC Tripura, has been demonstrated to States/UTs as part of the Cabinet Secretariat’s “Best Practices Presentation on De-Regulation & Compliance Reduction–Phase II” initiative. A step forward in transparent, efficient & paperless governance.
- सड़क दुर्घटना पीड़ितों को त्वरित, पारदर्शी एवं कैशलेस चिकित्सा सुविधा उपलब्ध कराने के उद्देश्य से e-DAR (Electronic Detailed Accident Report) एवं कैशलेस ट्रीटमेंट स्कीम पर एक दिवसीय प्रशिक्षण कार्यशाला का आयोजन मुंगेली पुलिस यातायात विभाग द्वारा पुलिस अधीक्षक कार्यालय, पुलिस ऑडिटोरियम, मुंगेली में किया गया। कार्यशाला में ई-DAR प्रणाली के तकनीकी पक्ष, अंतरविभागीय समन्वय तथा कैशलेस उपचार योजना के प्रभावी क्रियान्वयन पर विस्तार से जानकारी दी गई।
- NIC team demonstrated to the Secretary, Transport, Chhattisgarh, and all District Collectors and Superintendents of Police the PM RAHAT Scheme, covering eDAR and its key aspects. It also included the detailed procedure for admission of patients, treatment protocols, and reimbursement through the PMJAY TMS portal.
- 9th Edition of Residential Training Programme on Microservices & DevOps is being held from 9–13 Feb 2026 at NIC Centre of Excellence on Microservices, Kochi, The programme brings together participants for an intensive hands-on learning experience focused on modern application architecture, deployment practices, and emerging industry standards in microservices and DevOps methodologies.
- A Two-Day Capacity Building Training Programme was held at Odisha Judicial Academy, Cuttack, strengthening digital adoption of New Criminal Laws and ICJS among the Judiciary, Police & Prosecutors—promoting faster, more transparent & technology-driven justice delivery.
- एनआईसी ने “हमारा उद्देश्य – सक्षम तकनीक, सुदृढ़ भविष्य” विषय पर एक दिवसीय डीआईओ संगोष्ठी का आयोजन चंडीगढ़ में किया। संगोष्ठी का उद्घाटन डॉ. जी. अनुपमा, आईएएस, अतिरिक्त मुख्य सचिव, नागरिक संसाधन सूचना विभाग, हरियाणा द्वारा किया गया। एनआईसी मुख्यालय से श्री वारीन्द्र सेठ, उप महानिदेशक एवं राज्य समन्वयक तथा श्री सरबजीत सिंह, उप महानिदेशक एवं राज्य सूचना विज्ञान अधिकारी, हरियाणा द्वारा ई-गवर्नेंस को सशक्त बनाने, डिजिटल नवाचार को बढ़ावा देने और भविष्य की तकनीकी रणनीतियों पर सार्थक चर्चा की गई।
- The 10th Edition of the Residential Training Programme on Microservices and DevOps is being held from 23rd to 27th February 2026 at the NIC Centre of Excellence on Microservices, Kochi. This intensive programme is designed to provide participants with immersive, hands-on learning experiences in application architecture, deployment practices, and industry standards in microservices & DevOps methodologies.
- एनआईसी उत्तराखण्ड के सहयोग से राज्य के परिवहन विभाग ने प्रदूषण नियंत्रण प्रमाणपत्र , PUCC (Pollution Under Control Certificate) Version 2.0 देहरादून, ऋषिकेश और काशीपुर में दिनांक 25/02/2026 को सफलतापूर्वक लागू किया। इस उन्नत प्रणाली के तहत अब PUC प्रमाणपत्र केवल अधिकृत केंद्र पर वाहन की वास्तविक उपस्थिति में ही जारी होगा, जिसका सत्यापन जियो-लोकेशन आधारित फोटो-वीडियो से किया जाएगा। प्रणाली के सुचारु संचालन हेतु एनआईसी द्वारा RTO कार्यालय में एक कार्यशाला आयोजित की गई। इसमें अद्यतन प्रणाली की नई सुविधाओं जैसे जियो टैगिंग, फोटो-वीडियो अपलोड एवं मोबाइल नंबर रजिस्ट्रेशन आदि पर विस्तृत प्रशिक्षण प्रदान किया गया।
- The Indian Ocean Memorandum of Understanding (IOMOU), in collaboration with the Directorate General of Shipping, India, organized the Second Expert Mission Training Program for Port State Control Officers (PSCO) from 9th to 20th February 2026 at Chennai. NIC, Pune team delivered a detailed presentation on effective Port State Control mechanisms to representatives from 7 participating countries — India, Sri Lanka, Oman, South Africa, Mozambique, Myanmar, and Seychelles.

- In observance of Safer Internet Day, a lecture on Cyber Awareness was organised at NIC HQrs, New Delhi. Common cyber frauds & scams affecting users in today’s digital ecosystem were highlighted by the cybersecurity expert. Drawing on real-life experiences, the session emphasised practical best practices to enhance online safety. Awareness is the first step towards a safer and more secure internet.
- राष्ट्रीय सूचना विज्ञान केंद्र (NIC), ऊधम सिंह नगर द्वारा रूद्रपुर, उत्तराखण्ड में साइबर सुरक्षा जागरूकता कार्यशाला का आयोजन किया गया। कार्यशाला में छात्रों एवं आम जनमानस को सुरक्षित इंटरनेट उपयोग, ऑनलाइन धोखाधड़ी से बचाव एवं साइबर अपराधों के प्रति जागरूक किया गया।
- On the occasion of Safer Internet Day, NIC Assam District Units conducted awareness sessions across Districts in Assam, promoting digital safety and responsible internet use at the grassroots level. The initiative aimed to empower citizens with knowledge about online safety, cyber hygiene, and responsible digital practices.
