    • Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu concluded her annual winter sojourn in Hyderabad, staying at Rashtrapati Nilayam, Bolarum, and attending key engagements. NIC Telangana, in coordination with the State IT team, provided round-the-clock ICT support, ensuring seamless conduct of all official events during the visit.

    • AI Powering the Future of Governance in Odisha! NIC organised a State-Level AI Convention in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, graced by the Hon’ble Minister of Electronics & IT, Odisha, Dr. Mukesh Mahaling, who highlighted AI’s expanding role in governance and applauded NIC’s contribution to Digital India. NIC, along with the Odisha Electronics & IT Department, showcased key AI initiatives, outlined the future roadmap, and released the AI-integrated Odisha Desktop Profile and Jagruti, complemented by expert-led technical sessions on the evolution of AI.

    • Shri S. Krishnan, IAS, Secretary, MeitY, GoI, visited NIC Bihar and had an overview of the progress and impact of eGovernance applications deployed across various departments. On his visit, he was presented with ongoing digital public initiatives undertaken by NIC Bihar to enhance Citizen-centric services, and accelerate the ICT projects across the State.

    • National Workshop on Strengthening the Geospatial Ecosystem! Shri Abhishek Singh, Additional Secretary, MeitY and Director General, NIC, virtually chaired a session titled “Keeping Pace with Technological Advancements in the Geospatial Field”, at the Workshop organised by Survey of India, in New Delhi. He shared insights into the role of geospatial foundation models in enabling a wide range of applications that strengthen public service planning and evidence-based decision-making. Shri Abhishek singh underscored the role of NIC in India’s geospatial ecosystem, highlighting how the organisation is driving the national geospatial transformation through foundational platforms such as BharatMaps, OneMap, SVAMITVA, and PARIVESH.

    • NIC Odisha participated in the Regional AI Impact Summit 2025, Odisha, fostering dialogue on the adoption of AI in governance and public service delivery. The summit focused on sustainability, inclusive growth, and AI-driven governance reforms, while showcasing Odisha’s growing role in India’s AI ecosystem. A panel discussion on “Sushasan.AI – AI for Governance” was also held, highlighting practical use cases and future pathways. Niladri Bihari Mohanty, Joint Director-IT, deliberated on the topic AI for Governance in Odisha at the Summit.

    • Chairman of the Core Committee of ICJS, Hon’ble Justice Shri Sanjiv Kulgaonkar, Judge, Indore Bench, High Court of Madhya Pradesh visited NIC HQ today to review the Digital initiatives developed by NIC for the implementation of the #NewCriminalLaws across the country—such as eSakshya, eSummons, Nyayshruti, eForensics 2.0 and other integration services. Officers from NCRB, NIC CIS Pune and ICJS team were present. A detailed presentation was made by ICJS Central team. The efforts of NIC were well appreciated, and several value additions particularly from the Court’s perspective were suggested for incorporation.

    • The NIC team at the Department of Rural Development presented a snapshot of the digital ecosystem driving rural development schemes across India as part of the Induction Training Programme conducted at IIT Roorkee, for the newly recruited S&T Officers. From workflow automation and mobile apps to geo-tagging, AI-enabled authentication, geospatial planning, and citizen feedback systems, the presentation highlighted how technology is strengthening programmes such as MGNREGA, PMAY-Gramin, Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana, and Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, etc.

    • Smt. Sharmistha Dasgupta, DDG, NIC, addressed a Conclave in Lucknow on Viksit Bharat, Viksit Uttar Pradesh 2047, where she highlighted the key strategies driving India’s AI growth story, with a special focus on enabling Uttar Pradesh to become a trillion-dollar economy.

    • NIC Telangana facilitated eOffice training programs for 31 Departments of Telangana Govt., including the ITE&C Department. The NIC eOffice team delivered a comprehensive demo of the upgraded application to the Chief Secretary and Departmental Secretaries, highlighting new features. eOffice is an integrated digital workflow-based file management platform that streamlines Governance by enabling paperless file movement, real-time tracking, enhanced transparency, and significantly faster decision-making across Departments.

    • NIC team organised an insightful capacity-building session for officials at the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, GoI, on making Government IT applications DPDP compliant. The session saw active engagement and covered practical aspects of implementation. Valuable guidance came from NIC’s Data Governance and Strategy Division (DGSD), with contributions from Shri Prashant Mittal, DDG, and Dr. Mukesh Gupta, HoD, DGSD, who helped simplify the operational steps involved. Such initiatives strengthen the foundation for secure, accountable, and citizen-centric digital governance.

    • A one-day online demonstration session on the leave module of Uttar Pradesh Manav Sampada Portal was organised by the NIC Lucknow team for the officers of the High Court of Allahabad.NIC Allahabad High Court team delivered a detailed presentation covering leave modules of the UP Manav Sampada Portal. The session helped participants gain a comprehensive understanding of the portal’s leave module functionality and its role in streamlining administrative processes.

    • A two-day workshop on iRAD/eDAR and the Cashless Treatment Scheme was jointly organized by the Transport Department, Government of Sikkim, in collaboration with NIC Sikkim, to build capacity and enhance coordination among key stakeholders. The workshop focused on improving the understanding of workflows, streamlining implementation processes, and strengthening effective road accident data reporting and cashless treatment mechanisms.

    • NIC Karnataka organized a Meeting for DIO/DIA from across the State at the NIC State Unit, Bengaluru. The meeting focused on key technical and administrative aspects, with a live demonstration of the State Election Commission (SEC) software for preparations of the upcoming local body elections. Heads of various divisions also showcased the latest versions of their web applications, fostering knowledge sharing and alignment across Districts.

    • A lecture on the Open Government Data (OGD) Initiative was delivered by NIC officials during the ‘Two Weeks International Training Programme on Data Analytics & Financial Modelling’ organised by the Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA), New Delhi. The session highlighted how OGD enables data sharing by Government Departments and encourages public participation with free access to Government data for academics, developers, and entrepreneurs.

    • A training programme on eAbkari was organised by NIC Manipur for the Excise Department in Imphal. The session focused on User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and preparing for the operational rollout of the application. The eAbkari system has been customised for Manipur by NIC Punjab. eAbkari is a digital platform designed to streamline excise operations, enabling transparent, efficient, and end-to-end online management of excise activities.

    • छत्तीसगढ़ राज्य के समस्त शासकीय कार्यालयों में आधार-सक्षम बायोमेट्रिक उपस्थिति प्रणाली (AEBAS) लागू करने की पहल के अंतर्गत कोरिया जिले के कलेक्टर कार्यालय में कार्यरत सभी अधिकारी एवं कर्मचारियों को ‘छत्तीसगढ़ उपस्थिति पोर्टल’ पर स्व-पंजीकरण हेतु एनआईसी द्वारा व्यावहारिक प्रशिक्षण प्रदान किया गया।

    • A DIO/DIA Meet was organized at the NIC Puducherry UT Centre to review ongoing District-level digital initiatives, assess infrastructure preparedness, and enhance coordination between the District centres and the State Unit. The meeting underscored the role of district centres in promoting Digital Governance in UT by enabling online platforms that enhance transparency, operational efficiency, and service delivery for citizens and Government Departments.

    • एनआईसी छत्तीसगढ़ द्वारा ई-उत्तर एप्लिकेशन के उपयोग और संचालन से परिचित कराने हेतु दो दिवसीय प्रशिक्षण सत्र का आयोजन किया गया। इस सत्र का उद्देश्य विभागीय अधिकारियों को एप्लिकेशन की नई विशेषताओं से परिचित कराना था, जिससे दैनिक कार्यों में इसका अधिक कुशल उपयोग सुनिश्चित किया जा सके। ई-उत्तर एप्लिकेशन विधानसभा में उठाये गए प्रश्नों के विभागीय उत्तरों को ऑनलाइन प्रस्तुत करने की प्रक्रिया को सुव्यवस्थित करता है ताकि विधानसभा से संबंधित कार्यों को डिजिटल, त्वरित, सुगम एवं पारदर्शी बनाया जा सके।

    • At the Regional AI Impact Conference in Shillong, NIC presented key digital initiatives—including the e-District service delivery platform, MeghEA, Pensioner’s Life Certificate App, MegTourism App, and Meg SignBank App—showcasing impactful, citizen-centric solutions that received wide appreciation from the dignitaries.

    • A two-day Workshop of NIC State Training Coordinators was successfully held at Shillong, Meghalaya. The workshop was aimed at capacity building & strengthening coordination among Training Coordinators from 32 States/UTs, fostering collaboration, learning & best-practice exchange.

    • Strengthening DPDP compliance readiness across Government IT systems. An awareness and capacity-building session on DPDP compliance readiness was conducted for NIC officials at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA). The session covered important provisions of the DPDP Act and Rules, along with practical approaches for ensuring compliance across IT applications. Delivered by Shri Prashant Mittal, DDG, NIC, the interaction also addressed key queries from participants.

    • NIC Telangana organized a Cancer Screening & Cervical Cancer Awareness Programme in association with KIMS Hospitals, promoting early detection and women’s health as part of employee welfare initiatives.

    • Strengthening Digital Medico-legal and Post-mortem Services in Arunachal Pradesh. A one-day training on the Post-mortem Request Form of the MedLEaPR Application was organized by the Directorate of Medical Education, Training & Research, GoAP, on 19 December 2025, at Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh. During the hands-on session, Shri Rajiv Sharma, Scientist-C, NIC Haryana State Centre gave a detailed presentation on the process and functionalities of the MedLEaPR Application developed and implemented by NIC.

    • Showcasing Rajasthan’s “PehchanPortal” as a scalable model for global civil registration excellence. A delegation from the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), led by Ms. Tanja B. Sejersen, Statistician & CVRS Lead, and Dr. Chloe Mercedes Harvey, Associate Statistician, along with a UNICEF representative, visited Jaipur to study the Civil Registration System “#Pehchan”, developed by NIC for Directorate of Economics and Statistics, Govt of Rajasthan.

    • A State-Level Workshop on Interoperable Criminal Justice System (ICJS) and CrPIS Applications was successfully conducted at Hajipur, Bihar focusing on strengthening Inter-Departmental coordination and enhancing understanding of effective implementation. ICJS enables seamless data exchange among Police, Courts, Prosecution, Prisons, and Forensics to ensure faster and more transparent criminal justice delivery while CrPIS provides a centralized digital repository of criminal profiles to support efficient investigation, tracking, and analytics.

    • पिछड़ा वर्ग एवं अति पिछड़ा वर्ग कल्याण विभाग, बिहार सरकार द्वारा राज्य स्तरीय समीक्षा बैठक एवं कार्यशाला का आयोजन पटना स्थित जगजीवन राम संसदीय अध्ययन एवं राजनीतिक शोध संस्थान में किया गया। कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता विभाग की माननीया मंत्री श्रीमती रमा निषाद जी ने की। इस दौरान पिछड़ा वर्ग एवं अति पिछड़ा वर्ग कल्याण विभाग के अंतर्गत संचालित आवासीय विद्यालयों के प्रधानाध्यापकों एवं नोडल पदाधिकारियों के लिए राष्ट्रीय सूचना विज्ञान केंद्र (NIC) द्वारा विशेष प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया। प्रशिक्षण सत्र में MIS पोर्टल के प्रभावी उपयोग, इसके लाभों तथा विभाग के विभिन्न पोर्टलों के संचालन के संबंध में विस्तृत जानकारी प्रदान की गई, जिससे विद्यालयों एवं छात्रावासों के प्रशासनिक कार्यों में पारदर्शिता, दक्षता एवं गति सुनिश्चित हो सके। कार्यक्रम में प्रधान सचिव श्री एच. आर. श्रीनिवास, अपर सचिव श्री अनिल कुमार ठाकुर, OSD श्री गोपाल प्रसाद, सहायक निदेशक, एनआईसी श्री विवेक कुमार सहित विभाग के अन्य वरिष्ठ पदाधिकारी एवं अधिकारीगण उपस्थित रहे।

    • बालोद, छत्तीसगढ़ के स्वामी आत्मानंद विद्यालय, कुसुमकसा के विद्यार्थियों ने शैक्षणिक भ्रमण के अंतर्गत एनआईसी राज्य केंद्र एवं SWAN का दौरा किया। एनआईसी अधिकारियों द्वारा बताया गया कि किस प्रकार आधुनिक सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी से सरकारी सेवाएँ नागरिकों तक प्रभावी रूप से पहुँचाई जाती हैं।

    • A State-level workshop on eGovernance in Judiciary was held at Odisha Judicial Academy, Cuttack. NIC Odisha showcased AI-enabled initiatives strengthening the eCourts ecosystem. The Director of the Odisha Judicial Academy appreciated DIOs for their ICT support across all 30 Districts.

    • A State-level workshop on Interoperable Criminal Justice System (ICJS) was conducted at State Crime Research Bureau (SCRB), Bhubaneswar for SCRB & NIC officers. Sessions covered —eSummon, eSakshya, NyayShruti, NCL Dashboard and new criminal laws BNS, BNSS & BSA under CCTNS.

    • NIC participated in Aspire Mysuru 2025, showcasing key G2G & G2C digital initiatives impacting citizens and students. The stall featured Vahan & Sarathi, GST E-Way Bill, MGNREGA, DBT, e-Courts, and demos of AI & Blockchain solutions, drawing strong public and student engagement.

    • Strengthening User-Centric eGovernance with UI/UX! NIC Jharkhand, in coordination with NeGD, conducted a one-day UI/UX Design Workshop in Ranchi to enhance technical proficiency in e-Governance. The programme focused on practical adoption of user-centric design, usability engineering, and accessibility compliance, enabling the creation of scalable, inclusive, and high-impact citizen digital services.

    • संसदीय राजभाषा समिति की दूसरी उप-समिति द्वारा नवा रायपुर में एनआईसी छत्तीसगढ़ के राजभाषा संबंधी कार्यों के निरीक्षण हेतु श्री तेज नारायण सिंह, डीडीजी, एनआईसी एवं एसआईओ, छत्तीसगढ़ के नेतृत्व में बैठक आयोजित की गई। निरीक्षण के दौरान समिति ने एनआईसी छत्तीसगढ़ द्वारा राजभाषा हिंदी के प्रभावी प्रयोग एवं सफल कार्यान्वयन पर संतोष व्यक्त करते हुए प्रशंसा स्वरूप निरीक्षण प्रमाण-पत्र प्रदान किया।

    • The Parliament Standing Committee on Information & Communication Technology in Rajya Sabha visited Sri Vijaya Puram, Andaman & Nicobar Islands. During the visit, a presentation was made by Shri Gautam Gupta, SIO, NIC A&N UT Centre, along with Shri Deepak Saxena, DDG, NIC (HQ), highlighting NIC’s role in the UT, including ICT infrastructure, bandwidth availability with fallback measures, and digital services for the UT Administration and islanders. The Committee was also briefed on the successful implementation of major Central e-Governance projects by NIC, such as eOffice, eTransport, eHospital, ePDS, eProcurement, IVFRT, ICJS, and AEBAS, underscoring NIC’s contribution to Digital Governance in the islands.
