    Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi launched the ‘Drug Free Youth for Developed India Sankalp Abhiyan’.

    Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi launched the “Drug-Free Youth for a Developed India Sankalp Abhiyaan” and addressed over one crore youth from over 28,000 locations across the country. He emphasized the importance of a drug-free, healthy, confident, and empowered youth force for building a developed India.During this nationwide campaign, NIC’s video conferencing and webcast services played a vital role in connecting youth from states and districts across the country on a single platform, thereby ensuring seamless and wide broadcast of the programme.

    Hon’ble Minister of State (I/C) for Law & Justice, Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, in the presence of Hon’ble Attorney General for India, Shri R. Venkataramani, launched the revamped ‘India Code Portal’ of the Legislative Department, Government of India. Developed by NIC, the revamped portal is a modern, AI-enabled and citizen-centric integrated national legislative platform, providing citizens, legal professionals, the judiciary and Government Departments with easy access to authentic and comprehensive legislative information.

    Hon’ble Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, inaugurated the State-Level Workshop on the Interoperable Criminal Justice System (ICJS), themed “Strengthening Digital Justice Through New Criminal Laws”. The workshop was presided over by the Hon’ble Chief Justice of the Chhattisgarh High Court in the presence of the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister & Home Minister and the Hon’ble Law Minister of Chhattisgarh.During the workshop, NIC officials delivered detailed presentations on the key pillars of ICJS, highlighting its role in enabling seamless integration among criminal justice agencies and supporting the effective implementation of the new criminal laws through technology-driven governance.

Developed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC) for the Directorate of Agriculture, Assam, the platform aims to strengthen the implementation of the Oil Palm Mission by bringing technology closer to farmers and stakeholders through digital access, streamlined processes, enhanced transparency, and efficient service delivery.

The primary objective of this initiative by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj is to empower citizens to actively participate in the development of their Gram Panchayats and strengthen rural digital infrastructure.Through this new platform, citizens and organizations living in various cities of the country and abroad will be able to donate computers to Gram Panchayats through the ‘Meri Panchayat App’.

    NIC Punjab successfully rolled out e-Sanad across six major universities in July 2026, enabling thousands of students to access seamless digital document verification and attestation services.The rollout covers Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana; Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana; CT University, Ludhiana; Punjabi University, Patiala; Rayat Bahra University, Rupnagar; and Rayat Bahra University, Hoshiarpur.
    Developed by NIC in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, e-Sanad provides a secure, paperless, and citizen-centric platform for online verification and apostille of educational and personal documents.
