- eTrans2025: Accelerating India’s digital transport journey!
Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, GoI, in collaboration with NIC, hosted a 2-day Zonal Workshop on eTransport Services in Chandigarh on June 16–17, 2025 for northern states.
The workshop aimed at advancing eTransport services under the National eGovernance Plan. Officials from MoRTH, State Transport, Police and NIC across 12 States/UTs will participate.
- Hon’ble Transport Minister of Haryana, Shri Anil Vij, inaugurated eTrans 2025, a two-day (June 16–17) zonal workshop focused on accelerating digital transformation in the road transport sector, held in Chandigarh.
Organized by Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India. in collaboration with NIC, the workshop brings together key representatives from 12 States and Union Territories—Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi.
- Shri IPS Sethi, Deputy Director General, NIC, shared his insights at the zonal workshop eTrans2025 in Chandigarh. He highlighted the vital role played by various digital solutions developed by NIC in transforming the road transport sector – Vahan & Sarathi, mParivahan, iRAD, eChallan, and Vehicle Location Tracking & Emergency Alert System(VLT & EAS), etc.
- At the eTrans2025 Workshop in Chandigarh, Shri Joydeep Shome, DDG, NIC, highlighted NIC’s key initiatives in the transport sector. His address underscored NIC’s commitment to leveraging cutting-edge technology for smarter and more efficient transport systems across the country.
- Shri Abhishek Singh, Addl. Secretary, MeitY and DG, NIC, visited NIC Karnataka State Centre and took a detailed review of the ongoing ICT projects. The visit emphasized collaboration, innovation, and a continued focus on digital transformation across State Government Departments.
- Empowering Transport Services in Telangana
To ensure the effective implementation of Sarathi services in Telangana, NIC hosted a 3-day master training programme for the RTO officials identified as Master Trainers from various Districts of Telangana.
The program was graced by the Transport Commissioner Shri Surendra Mohan, IAS, Joint Transport Commissioner, SIO NIC-Telangana, and other senior officials. This capacity-building initiative aimed at strengthening the delivery of citizen-centric transport services across Telangana.
- NIC, in collaboration with the Revenue Board of Uttarakhand, hosted a Capacity Building Programme on Land Records Computerisation & Stamp Registration System for the esteemed Civil Servants of Sri Lanka.
The session showcased the transformative power of digital technology in revolutionising land administration.
Discussions highlighted:
✅ Digitization of land records
✅ Online property registration systems
✅ Integration of GIS technology
✅Applications like Bhulekh, RCMS, Land Use Management, RCS, Debt Entry, NZA, and Geo-Flow.
These innovations are paving the way for transparent, efficient, and citizen-centric land governance.
- Shri IPS Sethi, Deputy Director General, NIC, along with Dr. Shubhag Chand, Deputy Director General, NIC, visited the State Centre and AI Lab in Kolkata. They reviewed digital initiatives and flagship applications such as eAbkari, ShilpaSathi (Ease of Doing Business), Ports, IFMS, Kanyashree, Banglar Shiksha, Banglarbhumi, and many more.
AI-driven innovations by NIC in the State, as well as various operational and implementation challenges encountered during project execution, were also discussed.
- The Department of Information Technology, Government of Bihar, in collaboration with NIC, organized a training session on the Court Case Monitoring System. The session was conducted for Nodal Officers (CCMS), IT Managers, and Officials dealing with legal activities in the State.
- Empowering Goa with Next-Gen Digital Solutions!
Shri Inder Pal Singh Sethi, DDG, and Dr. Shubhag Chand, DDG & State Coordinator, visited the NIC Goa State Centre and engaged with NIC officers from both State and District Centres.
Shri IPS Sethi conducted an insightful session on GOV.IN Secure Intranet, CollabFiles & GovDrive.
Dr. Shubhag Chand held a detailed review meeting with NIC staff, discussing individual roles, responsibilities, and ongoing activities.
- During the visit, both DDGs also inspected mini Data Centre and interacted with Shri K. Sampath Kumar, Data Centre In-Charge, and FMS staff. Shri Sameer Datar, SIO, NIC Goa, provided a comprehensive overview of the activities being undertaken at the State and District Centres.
- Shri IPS Sethi, DDG, and Dr. Shubhag Chand, State Coordinator, met Dr. V. Candavelou, IAS, Chief Secy & Principal Secy (Finance), Govt of Goa. Chief Secy appreciated the efforts of NIC Goa team in delivering effective ICT solutions & extending support to various IT initiatives.
- Empowering PSUs with AI-Driven Security & Skilled Workforce!
Shri IPS Sethi, DDG, NIC, chaired a panel discussion on “Leveraging AI to Reinforce Security and Upskilling Workforce on Cyberthreats”, at the 7th National PSU Summit 2025 in New Delhi.
He shared his insights on various initiatives taken by MeitY and NIC in the field of AI, and how AI could be leveraged to safeguard against cybersecurity threats.
- NIC Karnataka showcased a wide range of citizen-centric digital solutions at the three-day mega exhibition Vision Karnataka 2025 in Belagavi, Karnataka. The event highlighted key Central Government schemes and development initiatives.
ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಬೆಳಗಾವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಮೂರು ದಿನಗಳ Vision Karnataka 2025 ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿ NIC ಕರ್ನಾಟಕವು ವ್ಯಾಪಕ ಶ್ರೇಣಿಯ ನಾಗರಿಕ-ಕೇಂದ್ರಿತ ಡಿಜಿಟಲ್ ಪರಿಹಾರಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿತು. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಉಪಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಿತು.

- Hon’ble MP and Former Chief Minister of Karnataka, Shri Jagadish Shettar, visited the NIC stall at #VisionKarnataka2025, and appreciated NIC’s continuous efforts in delivering digital services to citizens at the grassroots level.

- During the technical sessions at #VisionKarnataka2025, Mr. Giriachar V, Senior Director (IT) and District Informatics Officer, Bagalkot, delivered an insightful presentation on NIC’s key ICT initiatives across Karnataka.

- A training session was conducted at Chhattisgarh Mantralaya, Raipur, to introduce the updates in the E-Uttar Portal. The session aimed to familiarize department officials with the portal’s new features to ensure its more efficient use in daily operations.
e-Uttar Portal streamlines the online submission of departmental responses to Vidhan Sabha queries by the nodal officers.

- राजभाषा हिंदी के प्रचार-प्रसार की दिशा में एक और कदम!
कार्यालयीन कार्यों में राजभाषा हिंदी के प्रयोग को बढ़ावा देने हेतु वर्ष 2025-26 के लिए प्रथम त्रैमासिक कार्यशाला का आयोजन एनआईसी, तेलंगाना राज्य केंद्र, हैदराबाद में किया गया।
इस कार्यशाला की अध्यक्षता श्री गुंटुकु प्रसाद,राज्य सूचना अधिकारी एवं अध्यक्ष,राजभाषा कार्यान्वयन समिति ने की। श्री खाजा इम्तियाज़ अहमद, हिंदी अधिकारी ने त्रैमासिक प्रगति जानकारी को अद्यतन करने के सुझाव दिए व अधिकारियों/कर्मचारियों को हिंदी में कार्य करने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया।
