Established in the year 1988, NIC Manipur has its State Centre at New Secretariat, Imphal and District Centres at the 16 districts headquarters. NIC Manipur has played a very crucial role in digital transformation in the State of Manipur, fulfilling its mandate of being a major technology partner of the State Government, providing consultancy in emerging technologies, design and development of software, providing ICT infrastructure and project implementation. It has immensely contributed in implementation of various eGovernance initiatives in various sectors.

Major projects/applications developed and implemented include CMIS (Central Management Information System), LouchaPathap (Computerisation of land records), BEAMS, TreasuryNET, eGRAS, e-Budget, Online GPF Information System, Pension Processing System, Online Pension Payment System, mPension Manipur, Face Recognition Attendance System, e-Municipal Services, Students’ Online Enrollment System 2.0, Registration and Exam Processing System, eGazette, eCounselling for MBBS/BDS/BASLP, RFID based ID Card, Online Room Booking System for Manipur Bhawans, Online Certified Copy Application System for High Court of Manipur, Online Building Permission System, Professional Tax, Certificate Chain Application, Veterinary Hospital Management System, Inventory Monitoring System for GAD, e-Office, e-Auction of Fancy Number, SPARROW Manipur.

National projects such as eProcurement, e-Hospital (HMIS), eCourt, ICJS, eProsecution, eForensics, eChallan, Vahan, Sarathi, iRAD/eDAR, eCourts, SmartPDS, NGDRS, NDAL/ALIS, IVFRT, e-Sakshya, e-Granthalaya, AEBAS, NEVA are also being implemented by NIC Manipur.

Many projects are also in progress- Starbus, Heliservices, eAbkari, Die-in-Harness Appointment System, School Monitoring System, Farmers Registry, Artificial Insemination for Veterinary, Computerization of DBT Schemes (using ServicePlus), AI based OCR and transliteration of Meitei Mayek-Manipuri(Bengali), Integration of RoR Application with Cadastral Mapping (using BhuNaksha), Gazette Entitlement Management System, Victim’s Compensation, Vehicle Management System, Integration between State IFMS and PFMS (Version 2.0) for SNA SPARSH, customization of CMIS for MSPCL and eHRMS for State Health Society.

Project initiatives such as Identity Management System Manipur for DBT payments of Finance Department, CM Yarn Scheme, Quarter Management System, Basic Amenities Survey Management System, eServiceBook, Daksh – The Learning Management Platform of Manipur have also been taken up.

NIC Manipur has established a strong digital backbone comprising of high-speed NICNET Connectivity with 1824 active nodes in Secretariat, 53 Nos. of LL to State Government Departments and NKN connectivity to 21 institutes. Video Conferencing facilities with 24 VC Studios to key offices including Raj Bhavan, CM Secretariat, Chief Secretary Office, DGP Office etc.and Bharat VC, VidyoConnect and Service Desk Support, hosting of applications and websites,VPN and Email Services, Cloud Services of NDC are also provided.

Technical initiatives of NIC Manipur have revolutionized various sectors by introducing innovative solutions and improving productivity with emerging technologies – machine learning, artificial intelligence, blockchain, and the internet of things. More cost-effective and sustainable technical solutions initiatives in the future are envisaged.
