Hon’ble Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, launched the digital Cess Portal.

On the occasion of Vishwakarma Jayanti in Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai launched a modern ‘Cess Portal’ aimed at making the cess (tax) collection process more transparent, simple, and digital. The development and technical support for this portal were significantly assisted by the National Informatics Centre (NIC), Chhattisgarh State Centre. During the event, a high-tech QR code-based labour card was also launched to digitally identify workers and easily provide them with benefits from various welfare schemes. Along with this, the Chief Minister directly transferred financial assistance from various schemes to the bank accounts of thousands of workers in just one click through DBT. This digital initiative will boost transparency, efficiency, and ease in cess collection, worker registration, identification, and beneficiary services.
