- In a major boost to the Research & Development ecosystem in the country, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, launched the ₹1 Lakh Crore Research Development & Innovation (RDI) Scheme, RDI Website, logo, brochure, its implementation guidelines, and notice inviting applications for fund managers.
- Empowering Data-Driven Governance in Ladakh!
NIC, Kargil has developed a web portal for the Aspiration to Inspiration Programme to enable real-time entry and analysis of Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data at both block and departmental levels — promoting accountability, transparency, and data-driven decision-making. (1/2)

- Empowering Governance, Enriching Ladakh!
Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Ladakh, Shri Kavinder Gupta, launched several e-Governance initiatives — Website of Raj Niwas Ladakh, Online Building Permission & Occupancy System, and the onboarding of Raj Niwas on Swagatam Portal — on the occasion of the Foundation Day of the Union Territory of Ladakh. Developed and implemented by NIC, these initiatives are aimed at strengthening transparency, accountability, and efficiency in governance, and at enhancing citizen services through digital platforms.
- Hon’ble Governor of Uttarakhand, launched Uttarakhand AI Mission: Udhbhav-25, at Raj Bhavan, Dehradun. NIC has served as a key technology partner for the initiative, providing essential technical support & expertise.
During the programme, Secretary IT, Government of Uttarakhand and SIO, NIC Uttarakhand, highlighted the pivotal contributions of NIC and the State IT Department in advancing AI initiatives, and supporting & strengthening the State’s AI ecosystem. The event also facilitated the winners of the State-level Hackathon, recognizing leading institutes and startups for their outstanding innovations and achievements.
- The Department of Social Justice and Empowerment celebrated five years of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan. On this occasion, Hon’ble Governor of Punjab, Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, in the presence of Hon’ble Union Minister for Social Justice & Empowerment, Dr. Virendra Kumar, launched the NMBA and IDAMS websites, along with the NMBA Survey mobile app developed by NIC.These initiatives aim to curb substance abuse through awareness, counselling, and community action.
- Hon’ble Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Mohan Yadav, launched the “Swachhta Sathi – Wash on Wheels (WoW)” mobile app developed by NIC, under the Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin), Madhya Pradesh, during the “Abhyuday Madhya Pradesh” program organized to mark the 70th Foundation Day of the State.
The primary objective of “Swachhta Sathi – Wash on Wheels (WoW)” is to provide toilet cleaning services at the doorstep of rural households, making the maintenance of sanitation facilities more accessible and affordable. This innovative initiative will also help in creating employment opportunities in the rural areas of the State.
- Hon’ble Chief Minister of Delhi, Smt. Rekha Gupta launched the new online portal for renewal of Fire Safety Certificates. The portal enables applicants to submit renewal requests online and track the status of their applications in real time.
- Hon’ble Minister of Skill Development & Employment, Uttarakhand, launched Rojgar Prayag Portal 2.0. The upgraded portal by NIC streamlines hiring by allowing organizations to register their manpower needs and helping the Government connect youth with suitable roles across the State. Employers can now directly search and shortlist candidates based on required qualifications — making recruitment quicker and more efficient.
- A step towards smarter healthcare!
Hon’ble Minister for Medical Education and Research, Punjab, Dr. Balbir Singh, inaugurated NIC’s NextGen eHospital system at Government Medical College & Rajindra Hospital, Patiala. With this launch, hospital services like OPD, IPD, Billing, and Lab — are now fully computerized. Patients can now book OPD appointments online and access their lab reports digitally, ensuring faster, smarter, and more transparent healthcare.
- eOffice has been launched for Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Ltd. (RCF) by its Chairman and Managing Director, marking a major step toward streamlined administration and digital transformation. The platform will benefit around 2,500 employees across all RCF offices. To enable smooth adoption, RCF in collaboration with NIC conducted capacity-building sessions and a dedicated Train-the-Trainer program to develop internal expertise for sustained implementation.
- NIC Telangana, in collaboration with the Mines & Geology Department of the State, has deployed ‘Zero Permit System’ for the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) under the eMining Project. It enables real-time tracking & consolidation of mineral consumption across all HMDA works. By digitizing mineral usage and eliminating physical permits, the system streamlines processes, boosts compliance, and reduces administrative delays — a scalable model for other Government Engineering Departments involved in mineral transportation.
- With seamless coordination, technical excellence, and NIC’s unwavering commitment, NextGen #eHospital has been successfully implemented at Asia’s largest medical university — King George’s Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow. A unified digital platform by NIC, NextGen eHospital, effortlessly connects patients, doctors, and hospitals on a single digital platform for faster, smarter, and more efficient healthcare services.
