    • Hon’ble Minister of Finance & Corporate Affairs, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman and Hon’ble Minister for Railways, I&B, Electronics & IT, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw along with Additional Secretary, MeitY & DG, NIC, Shri Abhishek Singh visited the NIC stall at the ‘AI for Viksit Bharat’ conference organised by NITI Aayog in New Delhi.

    • Hon’ble MoS Shri Jitin Prasada inaugurated Uttarakhand AI Impact Summit 2025 in Dehradun. He delivered the Keynote Address ‘Vision and Strategic Guidance on Emerging Technologies & AI’, and interacted with the startups at the venue, exhibiting their innovations.

    • At Uttarakhand AI Impact Summit, highlighting the insights shared by dignitaries, SIO, NIC, Uttarakhand Shri Sanjay Gupta emphasized that AI is not merely a technology but a transformative force shaping the future of our society.

    • Sharing valuable insights on the Role of NIC in Al Services, DDG, NIC, Ms. Sharmistha Dasgupta showcased how NIC is transforming digital governance through cutting-edge Al initiatives, including Conversational Al, Image & Video Analytics, and Al Development Platforms.She emphasized that these services, delivered via NIC’s Meghraj Cloud, are empowering government departments to enhance citizen service delivery and foster smarter governance.

    • आज “एक पेड़ माँ के नाम” अभियान के अंतर्गत एनआईसी के महानिदेशक तथा वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों द्वारा NIC मुख्यालय परिसर में पौधारोपण किया गया। यह पहल पर्यावरण संरक्षण के प्रति प्रतिबद्धता तथा हरित भारत निर्माण की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम है।

    • With aim to spread awareness about better health & fitness, the FitIndia Freedom Run 6.0 cum Unity Run was organised at MeitY Hqrs, Electronics Niketan, New Delhi with the theme “Swachhta and Swasthya (Cleanliness and Health)”.

    • At the Fit India Freedom Run 6.0 cum UnityRun event, Senior officials from MeitY, NIC and other organisations enthusiastically participated in the event. Cultural presentations were also done by their family members , spreading the message of a cleaner and healthier nation.

    • UDISE+ is a comprehensive management platform for school education-related data, enabling planning, monitoring, and policy-making of school ecosystem.

      The system developed by NIC was awarded the Certificate of Recognition in the Technical Category for its pivotal role in enabling Aadhaar-based Mandatory Biometric Updates (MBU) of students, at Aadhaar Samvaad 2025 organised by UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) in Hyderabad.

      The award was received by Shri Saba Akhtar, Sr. Director, NIC, from Shri Neelkanth Mishra, Chairperson, UIDAI.

      The recognition highlights NIC’s role in integrating UDISE+ with Aadhaar to identify students needing MBU and track their update status.

    • Fireside Chat on “Responsible AI in Finance: Designing Guardrails for Trust and Innovation” at GlobalFintechFest 2025, in Mumbai.

      Shri Abhishek Singh, Additional Secretary, MeitY and Director General, NIC shared key insights on how Artificial Intelligence can be leveraged to foster innovation in financial services while ensuring transparency, accountability, and ethical governance.

    • Driving the future of AI through International Collaboration.

      UK delegation headed by Ms. Jade Leung, the UK Prime Minister’s AI Adviser, met with Shri Abhishek Singh, Additional Secretary, MeitY and DG, NIC to discuss avenues for collaboration in the field of Artificial Intelligence.

      The meeting focused on strengthening UK-India cooperation in responsible AI development, governance frameworks, and leveraging technology for inclusive growth and digital innovation.

    • International Purple Fest 2025, Goa. NIC showcased digital inclusivity at the fest, engaging with citizens at its booth. The spotlight was on SugamyaWeb, GIGW 3.0, and DBIM 3.0 – applications that make digital platforms more accessible, inclusive, and user-friendly for everyone.

    • NIC at International Purple Fest 2025, Goa. DDG, Web Technology Division, NIC, Sh. Ashok Kaul, visited the NIC-MeitY booth at the International Purple Fest 2025 in Goa. During his visit, he interacted with web technology team and engaged with visitors, learning more about their experiences and queries, and highlighting the initiatives NIC has undertaken to promote accessibility and inclusiveness in digital services.

    • A training session was conducted by NIC Gujarat on iRAD/eDAR & Traffic eChallan – One Nation, One Challan under MORTHIndia’s eGovernance initiatives. 300+ Senior police officers from Home Department, Govt. of Gujarat attended the session, at Police Academy, Karai, Gandhinagar. iRAD enables data-driven road safety planning while eDAR facilitates real-time reporting & monitoring of accident cases. Traffic eChallan– One Nation, One Challan is a unified, transparent & paperless traffic enforcement system across India.

    • NIC, in coordination with MeitY, is organizing a two-day workshop on “DPDP Act and Compliance of IT Applications” at Dr. Ambedkar International Centre, New Delhi.

    • A one-day training was held in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh for 150+ officials from Transport & Police Depts on iRAD/e-DAR & eChallan platforms to enhance Road Safety & modernize traffic enforcement. Hands-on sessions with POS machines emphasized digital efficiency & coordination.

    • At the Workshop on “DPDP Act and Compliance of IT Applications”, an insightful session unpacked the key nuances of India’s Data Protection framework.
      Led by Shri Deepak Goel, GC (Cyber Laws), MeitY, the discussion covered compliance, consent management & implementation readiness.

    • Workshop on “DPDPAct and Compliance of IT Applications, in New Delhi. A session led by Prof. Charu Malhotra, IIPA highlighted practical steps to operationalize the DPDP Act. She emphasized proactive compliance, robust policies & embedding privacy into organizational culture.

    • At the Workshop on “DPDPAct and Compliance of IT Applications”, a session led by Ms. Alka Misra, DDG NIC, discussed data sharing, privacy & standardization. She emphasized data minimization, strong architecture & accountability for lawful Data Governance.

    • At the Workshop on “DPDPAct and Compliance of IT Applications”, an interactive session led by Shri Prashant Mittal, DDG, NIC, outlined the compliance roadmap. He emphasized data accountability, NDAs, consent frameworks and collaboration for secure governance.

      Shri Nikhil Jhanji from IDFY, shared industry-driven insights on how organizations, particularly in the BFSI sector, are embedding data protection and privacy into the system design itself.

    • At the “DPDP Act and Compliance of IT Applications” Workshop, Ms. Sujatha Sree G.S, Senior Leader, TCS shared insights on consent management. She emphasized practical freely given, explicit consent, easy withdrawal, and the fiduciary’s responsibility in maintaining it.

    • At the “DPDP Act and Compliance of IT Applications” Workshop, Shri Sanjay Kumar, Associate Director, Birlasoft shared industry insights on DPDP from a multi-jurisdictional lens. He compared global laws like GDPR and emphasized clear clauses & indemnification for compliance.

    • Day 2 of the “DPDP Act and Compliance of IT Applications” Workshop focused on institutional readiness for DPDP Compliance. Shri Prashant Mittal, DDG, NIC, shared insights on building governance, process, and technology readiness to embed privacy by design in Government systems.

    • The “DPDP Act and Compliance of IT Applications” Workshop featured a session on Fostering a DPDP-Conscious Culture. Shri Prakash Kumar, CEO, Wadhwani Foundation, stressed the need to collect only necessary data, define shelf life & promote responsible sharing across govt systems.

    • At the Workshop on DPDP Act and Compliance of IT Applications, Mr. Manish & Ms. Amrita from KPMG, shared an industry perspective on cyber security and compliance. They highlighted the role of data mapping, third-party risk management, and API security in achieving DPDP readiness.

    • At the Workshop on DPDP Act and Compliance of IT Applications, Dr. Mukesh Kumar Gupta, Sr. Director (IT), NIC led an interactive session on the DPDP Compliance Journey, sharing practical templates, relatable examples & live quizzes to simplify key compliance steps.

    • At the DPDP Act and Compliance of IT Applications Workshop, Ms. Abha Tiwari, DPO, Air India, shared a legal & industry perspective on privacy, highlighting human element, data retention limits & compliance in practice. Her session bridged law, governance & real-world use cases.

    • In his keynote address at DPDP Act & Compliance of IT Applications Workshop, AS, MeitY & DG, NIC, Shri Abhishek Singh highlighted that the Act centers on Data Principal, Data Fiduciary & Data Processor, ensuring citizens retain full control over their data & consent.

    • India Cuba: Strengthening Global Digital Cooperation!

      A Cuban delegation led by H.E. Mr. Juan Carlos Marsan Aguilera, Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba visited NIC Hqrs and held discussions with Shri Abhishek Singh, Additional Secretary, MeitY, and DG, NIC focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in the digital domain and exploring opportunities for technology collaboration.

      NIC senior officials presented key digital solutions – eOffice, NextGen eHospital, and ePrison, to the delegation during their visit to NIC Headquarters.

    • Inspiring the next generation of civil servants of India and Bhutan — the Addl. Secretary, MeitY & DG, NIC, Shri Abhishek Singh, addressed 660 Officer Trainees of the 100th Foundation Course at LBSNAA, Mussoorie.

    • Walk4Dyslexia | Kartavya Path, New Delhi
      Secretary, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Shri Rajesh Aggarwal, flagged off the Dyslexia Walk from Vijay Chowk to India Gate. Organised as part of the National Dyslexia Awareness Month campaign, the event aims to promote understanding of dyslexia, encourage early identification, and highlight the importance of inclusive education for all learners.

    • NIC joins Walk4Dyslexia at Kartavya Path. Under the mentorship of Shri Abhishek Singh, AS, MeitY & DG, NIC, senior officials and team members of NIC participated in the Dyslexia Walk at Kartavya Path, New Delhi.

    • Creating Awareness, Inspiring Inclusion.
      An insightful session on Dyslexia Awareness was organized at NIC Headquarters, New Delhi. Ms. Aparajita Singh from the ChangeInkk Foundation captivated the audience with an engaging presentation covering the types of dyslexia, the challenges faced by children, and the importance of early screening, diagnosis, and effective intervention measures.

    • Ms. Aparajita emphasized the need for more inclusive tech solutions that cater to individuals with Dyslexia.
      She highlighted the importance of leveraging technology to make education accessible for all, ensuring that no one is left behind in the digital era.

    • A one-day training session on ‘iGOTKarmayogi’ was conducted by NIC Punjab in Chandigarh as part of the 3-day Workshop organized for NIC officers, marking a significant step towards their professional growth and capacity building. The workshop provided a platform for learning, collaboration, and experience sharing, fostering open communication and innovative thinking. The event witnessed active participation from Officers of the State Centre and DIOs from all 23 Districts, reflecting a collective commitment to continuous learning and excellence.

    • The Online RTI Portal of Arunachal Pradesh has been made live to enable seamless access to information for RTI applicants. The portal empowers Citizens to submit RTI requests and First Appeals online to Public Authorities across departments — ensuring transparency, efficiency, and accessibility. A training session was conducted by NIC for Nodal Officers and PIOs at the Secretariat level, as well as for officials from various Directorates and Chief Engineer’s Offices, to ensure effective implementation of the portal.
