- 5 Years of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan — an initiative of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India.On 13 Aug 2025, led by the Hon’ble Union Minister Dr. Virendra Kumar, a nationwide mass pledge against drug abuse was taken.NIC facilitated the Ministry in enabling the e-Pledge on https://nmba.dosje.gov.in — 4,70,488 pledges recorded and still counting! - NIC Bihar presented the Court Case Monitoring System (CCMS) to the Chief Secretary and senior officials of Telangana to facilitate the rollout and implementation of CCMS in the State. The digital platform enables departments to monitor court cases, streamline legal workflows, and ensure timely follow-ups, boosting legal compliance and reducing case backlogs.
- Shri Abhishek Singh, Additional Secretary, MeitY, and Director General, NIC, visited NIC Uttar Pradesh State Centre in Lucknow and interacted with the officials. Shri Ashesh Agarwal, DDG & SIO, Uttar Pradesh, made a detailed presentation on various e-Governance initiatives implemented by NIC in the State. Shri Abhishek Singh highlighted the importance of citizen-centric services, seamless integration of digital platforms, and continuous capacity enhancement of officers to ensure that NIC continues to play a pioneering role in the domain of digital governance.

- A State-Level Awareness and Sensitization Workshop on UI/UX was jointly organized by NeGD, NIC, the Department of E & IT, Government of Odisha, and Odisha Computer Application Centre, at the State Conference Centre, Bhubaneswar. The workshop was also attended by Shri Vishal Kumar Dev, IAS, Principal Secretary, E&IT and Energy Department, and Dr. P. K. Raut, Special Secretary, E&IT Department to the Government of Odisha. Five technical sessions were conducted by the NeGD and NIC Odisha team during the workshop.
- NIC, Uttarakhand, organized a one-day technical workshop on “Driving Governance with Digital Tools & Technologies” in Dehradun. The workshop was inaugurated by Shri Nitesh Kumar Jha, Secretary (IT), Government of Uttarakhand. Shri Nitesh Kumar Jha emphasized that, to maximize the benefits of information technology for the general public, all State Departments should make optimal use of the various software and digital tools developed by NIC.
- At the “Driving Governance with Digital Tools & Technologies” workshop, Deputy Director General Shri IPS Sethi provided a brief overview of various projects developed by NIC, noting their vital role in making governance more efficient, transparent, and digitally empowered. State Informatics Officer, NIC Uttarakhand, Shri Sanjay Gupta presented various office tools and portals such as Collabfiles, Sandes, GovIn Secure Intranet, eTaal, NAPIX, and GovDrive, etc.
- Workshop on Web Accessibility, at NIC Hqrs., New Delhi.
In the presence of Deputy Director Generals & Head of Groups, and Head of Divisions from NIC Hqrs., the workshop witnessed participation of State Informatics Officers and 600+ officials from across States and UTs via Video Conferencing. Web Accessibility ensures that websites, applications and digital services can be easily accessed and used by persons with disabilities (Divyangjan).
- During the Web Accessibility Workshop at NIC Hqrs., a session was conducted to showcase case studies on screen reader, color contrast best practices, seamless keyboard navigation, meaningful Alt-text, and accessible document design—truly highlighting how inclusive design transforms digital experiences.
- Fully Online Typing & Stenography Exams in Chhattisgarh!
The Shorthand & Computer Typing Skills Examination Council, School Education Department, Chhattisgarh, conducts Hindi/English typing and stenography exams for Class III posts—Data Entry Operator, Assistant Grade-3, Stenographer, and Stenographer Typist—in government, semi-government, and autonomous institutions. To make the process faster, transparent, and hassle-free, NIC Chhattisgarh has developed a fully online system for candidate registration, e-Challan fee payment, slot booking, and test delivery.

- NIC Meghalaya, in collaboration with the ITMS Team of NIC HQ, New Delhi, demonstrated the Intelligent Traffic Management System (ITMS) and its integration with the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) at Umsawli, New Shillong, to stakeholders under the Smart City project. ITMS facilitates the management and improvement of traffic flow by utilizing various technologies such as Android apps, RLVD, OSVD, Body-Worn Cameras, Vehicle-Mounted Cameras, CCTV, and social media platforms (WhatsApp, Twitter, Facebook, etc.) to detect traffic violations and automatically generate challans.
- A two days training-session was conducted by NIC HQ, New Delhi, to introduce the UIDAI officials with the functionalities of the eSAM Stores Inventory Management Portal. The platform is designed to streamline inventory tracking, procurement workflows, and asset management across UIDAI offices, ensuring transparency and operational efficiency.

- The Foreigners Regional Registration Office of Punjab in coordination with IVFRT Team of NIC Punjab conducted a State-level workshop on District Police Module (DPM), Look Out Circular (LOC) and Foreigners Identification Portal (FIP) for the District Foreigner Registration Officer (DFROs). District Police Module empowers State and District Police to access visa, immigration, registration, and stay details of foreigners within their jurisdiction, while enabling biometric identity verification for enhanced monitoring. Look Out Circular (LOC) is a unified & secure platform that enables police authorities to issue fresh LOCs swiftly, overcoming delays of traditional methods. FIP Portal is a web application that captures biographic & biometric details of illegal foreign nationals residing in the State.
- NIC Telangana is driving the transition towards a smarter, more transparent digital workplace through extensive eOffice training programs across the State. Through hands-on eOffice training programs, the team is empowering Govt Depts, PSUs & organizations across the State. In the last 6 months, NIC Telangana conducted 22 eOffice workshops for 21 departments, training 822 officials.A strong step toward efficient, paperless administration!
- आधिकारिक और दैनिक संचार में हिंदी के प्रयोग को बढ़ावा देने की पहल के तहत, एनआईसी मेघालय राज्य केंद्र में प्रतिदिन एक हिंदी शब्द प्रदर्शित करने वाला एक व्हाइट बोर्ड शुरू किया गया है।
इस बोर्ड का उद्देश्य, चयनित अधिकारी द्वारा प्रतिदिन एक हिंदी शब्द लिखना है, जिससे उन्हें हिंदी भाषा में कार्य करने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया जा सके। बोर्ड के एक ही स्थान पर स्थित होने से कार्यालय के सभी सदस्यों के साथ-साथ कार्यालय आने वाले आगंतुक भी इन शब्दों की जानकारी ले पाएँगे।
- A training-cum-demonstration session on the e-Sakshya Portal was conducted for Investigation Officers of East Khasi Hills District, Meghalaya. The session was led by the e-Sakshya Support Team, NIC HQ, and the NIC Team of Meghalaya. e-Sakshya portal streamlines the process of digital evidence collection, management, and exchange by enabling investigating officers to capture evidence, record statements. It enables to upload visuals in real-time, while ensuring secure storage in an encrypted locker.

A step towards strengthening digital justice delivery!
NIC Odisha hosted a Virtual Training on eProsecution, covering end-to-end system workflows, user roles, and core functionalities for seamless adoption.eProsecution is a web-based platform developed by the Ministry of Home Affairs under the ICJS framework, streamlining prosecution by integrating with CCTNS & eCourts. It enables real-time case tracking, legal scrutiny & promotes transparency, accountability & speedy justice.
- Shri IPS Sethi, Deputy Director General of NIC, shared NIC’s vision of AI in driving Digital India during the Fireside Chat at BSNL AI Conclave 2025. He highlighted AI’s role in eGovernance through initiatives such as Face Recognition AI for driving licenses, AI Nibhrit for fraud prevention, multilingual conversational AI for inclusivity, and NIC’s strong emphasis on privacy and security in AI-driven governance.
- NIC conducted a training workshop on ‘GovIn Secure Intranet’ at Rail Bhawan for Railway Board officials. Shri Mandeep Singh Bhatia, Executive Director (C&IS), emphasized the importance of unified digital platforms in improving efficiency and decision-making, and Shri Inder Pal Singh Sethi, DDG, NIC, shared a vision for Digital India and Governance.
- A one-day training on the Integrated Road Accident Database (iRAD) and electronic Detailed Accident Report (eDAR) was successfully conducted by the NIC Serchhip District Centre at the SP Office Serchhip, Mizoram. The session was followed by a hands-on demonstration of the iRAD mobile application, highlighting its role in accurate data collection for road accidents, its significance in enhancing road safety measures, its nationwide scope and practical use for stakeholders.

The Office of the Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District, in collaboration with Shillong College, Shillong, successfully organized an Awareness Programme on the Meghalaya Right to Public Services (RTPS) Act, 2020.At the heart of this initiative lies the Meghalaya State Public Services Delivery Commission (MSPSDC) Portal 👉 www.mspsdc.meghalaya.gov.in, developed by NIC.

- NIC District Centre, Surguja, Chhattisgarh, has implemented FACE-based aadhaar enabled Biometric Attendance System at the Collectorate and other Government Departments of Surguja, as per the State Government’s directions and the Collector’s initiative to ensure punctuality of officers and employees. Employees onboarded on this system can conveniently mark their attendance within a 90-meter radius of the designated GPS location of each office across the district.
