    • In the presence of Hon’ble Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, the Directorate General of Hydrocarbons (DGH), NIC, and NICSI signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on National Data Repository on National Government Cloud, at UrjaVarta2025, in New Delhi.

    • Department of Social Justice & Empowerment (SJED), Government of Rajasthan, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NIC to develop an Integrated Scheme Portal for social sector schemes.

      The MoU was signed in the presence of the Hon’ble Minister, SJED, Rajasthan Shri Avinash gehlot; Chairman of the Devnarayan Board, Shri Om Prakash Bhadana; Additional Chief Secretary, SJED, Smt. Aparna Arora; Director & Joint Secretary, SJED, Shri Ashish Modi; and State Informatics Officer, NIC Rajasthan.

    • Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) observed Cyber Jaagrookta Diwas on 2nd July 2025, as part of its ongoing efforts to promote cyber hygiene and raise mass awareness on cyber security.

    • On this occasion, an online awareness programme was organised on “Cyber Hygiene Essentials: Protecting Yourself in the Digital World”, to sensitize citizens about safe digital practices and the importance of responsible behaviour in cyberspace.

      Shri Alok Tiwari, DDG, NIC, emphasized the urgent need for organizations to educate employees on the importance of data protection. He stressed on enforcing strict data access policies to uphold robust cyber security within institutions.

      Shri P K Mittal, DDG, NIC, highlighted NIC’s pivotal role in promoting safe digital practices via secure infrastructure with threat detection mechanisms, and elaborated on efforts to strengthen cybersecurity across Govt systems, ensuring resilience & trust in digital governance.

    • Shri Abhishek Singh, Addl. Secretary, MeitY & DG, NIC, presented India AI Mission, highlighting its relevance to AgriStack and the future of AgriTech at the workshop on “Transforming Agriculture using AgriStack and Artificial Intelligence” organized by the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, GoI.

      Shri Prashant Kumar Mittal, DDG (Agriculture Informatics Division), NIC, shared insights on technological architecture, implementation strategy, and concerns related to security and privacy. He also highlighted NIC’s contributions and ongoing support for AI initiatives in agriculture during the workshop.

    • स्वस्थ जीवनशैली से बढ़ती कार्यक्षमता!

      राष्ट्रीय सूचना विज्ञान केंद्र, मुख्यालय में आज दिनांक 30 जुलाई 2025 को श्री अभिषेक सिंह, अतिरिक्त सचिव, इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स और सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्रालय (MeitY) और महानिदेशक, NIC की अध्यक्षता में राजभाषा त्रैमासिक कार्यशाला का आयोजन किया गया।

      कार्यशाला में मुख्य वक्ता डॉ. विनोद यादव, सीएमओ, सीजीएचएस आयुर्वेद अस्पताल, अलीगंज ने स्वस्थ जीवनशैली के महत्व पर प्रकाश डालते हुए अपने विचार साझा किए। उन्होंने अपने व्याखान में विभिन्न रोगों के मामलों का उल्लेख किया और बताया कि आयुर्वेद पद्धतियाँ स्वास्थ्य सुधार में किस प्रकार सहायक हो सकती हैं।

      इस कार्यशाला में एनआईसी मुख्यालय के वरिष्ठ अधिकारी मौजूद रहे और एनआईसी राज्य एवं जिला केंद्रों के अधिकारी वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग व वेबकास्ट के माध्यम जुड़कर लाभान्वित हुए।

    • A two-day workshop on Online Drug Manufacturing & Sales Licensing System for AYUSH Department, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh was successfully conducted by NIC, Andhra Pradesh.

      The system helps to streamline services for the AYUSH Department of State. It automates the workflow of Issuing of Ayurveda, Unani & Homeopathy Drug Manufacturing & Sales Licensing & Renewals, AYUSH Doctors’ Registration, Certificate Issuance, and Submission of new applications.

    • UX is not just about digital platforms- it is about creating smooth, hassle-free experiences everywhere, including Government websites.

      Under the UX4G Digital India initiative, NeGD organised a UI/UX Workshop at Krishi Bhawan, New Delhi, that aims to assist Government Departments in improving the UI/UX of their digital applications by redesigning and revamping them.

      Shri Prashant Kumar Mittal, DDG, NIC, chaired a workshop on ‘UI & UX and shared insightful perspectives on the importance of UI/UX. He emphasized the need for citizen-centric design and discussed how a minimalist approach can enhance usability & accessibility.

      He also presented various case studies demonstrating how effective UI/UX can improve public service delivery and user engagement on Government platforms.

    • Empowering digital collaboration and innovation in governance through OpenForge!

      The NIC team, Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, GoI, in collaboration with the National e-Governance Division (NeGD), organised a comprehensive OpenForge Workshop at Krishi Bhawan, New Delhi.

      The workshop featured the Strategic relevance of OpenForge, Demonstrations of core features, case studies, and hands-on training sessions. Govt officials, tech leads, and web developers actively participated, contributing to a vibrant exchange of ideas and practical insights.

    • NIC conducted an engaging workshop for officials of the Ministry of Electronics & IT, showcasing the advanced features of the ‘Gov.In Secure Intranet (https://govintranet.gov.in)’ platform designed to enhance operational efficiency and productivity. During the technical session inaugurated by Dr. Vagesh Tiwari, Director, DigiGov, MeitY, Dr. O.P. Gupta, Director-IT, NIC explained the advanced features of the Gov Intranet.

      The workshop aimed to equip officials—from PA/PS/PPS to Secretary, Additional Secretary, Joint Secretary, and GCs of MeitY—with practical skills to effectively leverage secure digital platforms for streamlining official workflows.
